Parent and Youth Stipends

All stipends for the 2009 Conference have been awarded as of 01/08/09.
However, in order to encourage the attendance of parents and youth with disabilities (16 and older) TTC is now offering a reduced registration rate of $100/person for these individuals.

Stipends, provided by the Center on Disability and Development and the Texas Council for Developmental Disabilities, are available to parents and/or youth who would like to attend the conference but need financial assistance.

Who is Qualified to Receive a Stipend?
A limited number of stipends are available* and will be awarded with priority given to parents and youth applying who have not received a stipend in the past two years. Stipends will be limited to two per family; if two are awarded, one must be utilized to support attendance by a youth member. Individuals requesting the stipends must be a youth (16 or older) with a developmental disability and/or the parent of a youth with a developmental disability.

What Does the Stipend Cover?
Stipends will include the cost of registration for the three day conference ($175) and lodging expense reimbursement of up to $100 for individuals needing to travel 50 miles or more. Stipends DO NOT cover transportation costs.
